DESCRIPTION:Traveling Exhibition at the Rungehaus Wolgast · 23 July to 31 October 2026 · Opening on 23 July at 7 pm \nWhat people influenced Caspar David Friedrich on his path? The travelling exhibition is dedicated to the Pomeranian circle of friends and acquaintances of the significant Greifswald painter.  \nThrough selected personalities such as Johann Gottfried Quistorp\, Friedrich August von Klinkowström\, and Ludwig Gotthard Kosegarten\, the close connections between art\, science\, and society in early 19th-century Pomerania become visible. \nAt the same time\, the exhibition builds a bridge between Caspar David Friedrich from Greifswald and Philipp Otto Runge from Wolgast. Both were connected not only by their origins but also by a shared intellectual environment from which Romanticism received crucial impulses.  \nThe loan exhibition will be shown in the living room gallery of the Rungehaus as part of Rungesommer 2027.
